Hillcrest is a suburb of North Shore City, one of several cities in the Auckland metropolitan area in northern New Zealand. It is surrounded by Glenfield, Wairau Valley, Northcote and Birkenhead. The Auckland Northern Motorway passes to the east and provides easy access to the CBD as well as the north.

Most of the homes in Hillcrest were built in the 1960s and 1970s, and today the area sees an influx of people who like to renovate large old homes. Hillcrest has access to dairies, fruit shops and chemists. For more shopping and dining opportunities Glenfield and Northcote shopping centre are a short commute away. The are is a popular location for families with several schools in the nearby area.
